Food & Clothing Closet

We have many opportunities to serve our community by providing assistance with food and clothes. Not only do we meet their physical need, but we reach out to meet their spiritual needs as well. We are burdened to meet the need and to share Christ. If you would like to donate "decent" clothing that is in good shape or non-perishable food items please contact our church office.

 

Lay Seminary

At State Street Baptist Church we desire to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ (Ephesians 3:18). We want to be better students of God's Word, and we have developed a Bible study program that take you through biblical, theological, and historical doctrines of the Bible. This program is called Lay Seminary. Here is a schedule of what we have already covered and future topics.

Men's Prayer Fellowship

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17).

 

Here at SSBC we have a monthly men's prayer breakfast that not only offers delicious food, but an opportunity for men to come together to encourage each other. This is a powerful time for men to meet, find encouragement and seek God's face as their source of strength. We invite men of all ages to attend. Typically we meet every second Saturday morning starting at 8:30. Please contact the church office to confirm dates and times.


Women's Bible Study

The women at SSBC organize a Spring and Fall Bible study series. These studies are open to all women in our church and in our community. Here are the Bible studies that they have already done. If you would like more information please contact our church office.

Senior Fellowship

Our "Happy Seniors" group is just that. They're happy! They have a monthly potluck meeting on the last Monday of each month and take field trips to gospel concerts and to other area attractions. At least once a month they hop in our church van and go out to lunch together and have a wonderful time fellowshipping and just being...happy.
